is proving to be a consistent performer.
Jack states that he enjoys the challenge of close competition and is most happy when
the race has dictated a hard fought result.

Michael Jones #71
In his short racing career, starting in October 2010, at the River City Titles,
Monarto, Michael has achieved a P.B. in each race he has entered.

In 2011, ‘Mikey’ as he is known, has really come on. Coming off his ‘P’ plates in March 2011, he has progressed very quickly from his ‘C’ to his ‘B’ Grade License and has not looked back.

With a natural driving ability, his skill level and speed at which he drives, has taken him to 3 Podium finishes so far in 2011. He has placed:

  • 5th Overall at Barossa Go Kart Club Night Titles April 2011
  • 4th Overall at Barossa Jenke Vineyards Vintage Classic Night Titles July 2011
  • 4th Overall at Southern Go Kart Club Closed Club Championships     Round 3 September 2011

In his first year of racing, finishing in the Top 10 is now common for Mikey, who demonstrates good point scoring ability for Club Championship points.

Mikey has lived and breathed driving since two years of age, in discovering simulator driving games on the computer.

A week before his 7th birthday, he attended a ‘Come N Try’ day at Monarto and was hooked.

Mikey loves ‘clean racing with all his Karting friends’, and aspires to one day drive F1.

Tristan Gray #52

Tristan started racing rookie karts at the age of 10 and has racked up 10 years of racing in Australia and in the UK.
Off his P plates at the start of 2003, Tristan made an immediate impact in his Arrows AX6. By the end of his first full year in the Rookie class Tristan was the Barossa Kart Club champion and finished second to Scott Kissock in the Festival State Cup. Enjoying racing with Andrew Cash, Scott Boorman and Scott Kissock, Tristan was awarded the years most improved midget / rookie driver.
Air force life is tough and Tristan moved to the UK with his family for 3 years from 2004 and began racing in the Junior Rotax classes with an Arrows AX8 28/30. UK racing is nothing if not competitive, often racing against past British, Italian and Spanish champions at tracks such as PFI, Fulbeck, Rissington ,Whilton Mill.  Initially starting around mid field (in fields often exceeding 30 karts) he gradually made ground against his more illustrious competitors including  the son of a certain Martin Brundle ex F1 (Beneton & McLaren) driver. By the end of the three year UK posting, Tristan was regularly finishing in front of the young Brundle and winning races and events.
Tristan returned to Australia, residing in Newcastle for three years. He raced intermittently due to year 11 and 12 pressures but still managed a number of podiums at the Newcastle Kart Club, making a successful transition to the Yamaha Clubman after the previous years of Rotax and Yamaha J.

Finally returning to Adelaide at the start of 2010 Tristan joined the RAAF for a Gap year before commencing Uni in 2011. This has been his first full year of racing since 2006 and he has raced competitively in the Festival State Cup, finishing second by just one point in the Sportsman class – still going strong in the 7 year old AX8. Tristan is now applying serious pressure to his major sponsor (Dad) to come up with the goods for a new frame.
Tristan would like to pass on his thanks for some exceptional technical and driving support over the past 10 years from Kustom Karts and Bob Morrison Engine Developments in Adelaide, Drew Price Engineering for the fabulous Arrows series of karts and Walker racing in the UK.
